PACK YOUR BACKS FOR SH  SPIRIT WEEK ROAD TRIP!  STUDENTS MAY DRESS ACCORDINGLY (SEE DETAILS IN CALENDAR BELOW, must wear uniforms if not participating)

October 21    Play auditions (see below)
New York City Day - the city that never sleeps (wear pajamas; elementary must wear regular shoes)

October 22    SH vs. Ouachita (SG/SB)
Texas - Roundup - Country/Cowboy Day

October 23   9am prayer service for 7-12 only (no Mass) followed by high school honors (9:15am); elementary honors at 2:30pm
Alaska - North to the Future - Eskimo Day (note: students must wear uniforms for prayer service/honors and can add winter wear - coats, scarves, hats - after the service). 

October 24    SH @ Scranton (7G/7B/JG/JB)
Hawaii - Fun in the Sun - Luau day "party in the gym" 

October 25    Natural State - Arkansas - wear red/white!
Homecoming - 5pm

October 29   Rosary at the Mission,  7-9th grades, 12:45-2:00pm

October 30   Rosary at the Mission,  10-12th grades, 12:45-2:00pm

October 31    Halloween - For elementary: students may wear Halloween tshirt with jeans or school uniforms shorts/pants (not athletic wear!) and parents may send goody bags.  HIgh school students may wear costumes

November 1    All Saints Day - students in K-6 may dress as their favorite saint. Students must wear school uniform if they choose not to participate.

October 21-25
Monday:  Turkey Wrap, Potato Soup, Lettuce Cup, Salad Bar, Fruit & Milk
Tuesday:  Chicken Nuggets, Steamed Carrots, Mashed Potatoes, Roll, Salad Bar, Fruit & Milk
Wednesday:  Hamburger, Fries, Lettuce Cup, Salad Bar, Fruit & Milk
Thursday:  Pizza Pockets, Marinara Sauce, Corn, Broccoli w/Ranch, Salad Bar, Fruit & Milk
Friday:  Chicken Sandwich, Chips, Baked Beans, Lettuce Cup, Salad Bar, Fruit & Milk

 
Daily Breakfast:
$1/breakfast item | $.50/milk or juice
Breakfast bars, poptarts, breakfast burritos, etc may be available on any given morning.

Juniors will be selling snacks Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in the elementary.  All snacks are $1
WE STILL NEED YOUR INPUT. DEADLINE EXTENDED. PLEASE RESPOND BY MONDAY OCTOBER 21.
SACRED HEART is once again working toward renewing our ANSAA (Arkansas Nonprofit School Accreditation Association) accreditation.  WE NEED PARENT PARTICIPATION. Please complete the survey listed HERE.

$9/PERSON
No couple discounts; must be purchased by noon October 25th and will not be sold at the door.

DETAILS:
Doors open at 8:45pm. Parents must come to the door to sign out student if leaving before 11pm. ALL dance attire must meet SH dress code!
GHOULIE GRAMS!

Student Council is selling Ghoulie Grams for grades K-6. $1 each, includes a song and blow pop (song list and order form will be sent home).

Candy bags for grades 7-12 only - $3.

Orders due October 28th!

K-2 FORMS ALSO DUE MONDAY!!
Harvest of Hope Food Drive –   Help fill the shelves of the Conway County Care Center.  Sacred Heart School is asked to bring 150 containers or packages of oatmeal by Friday, Oct 25th.  Turn into your classroom teacher or a Student Council member.

Play auditions for HS and Elementary will be Oct 21st at 3:30-5:00 in the Library. 
7th-12th Play:  Arsenic and Old Lace
3rd-6th  Play:  Boy who Cried Wolf

RECYCLE MARKERS!
Girl Scout Troop 6019 Juniors is collecting used markers.  Drop-off boxes will be around the elementary art room and teacher's lounge and markers/highlighters can be dropped off for re-purposing!

COLLECT THOSE BOX TOPS
PTO is collecting box tops again. Flyers were sent home about submitting box tops online and SH receives credit.  If just 100 of our students collect 1 box tops each month of school, we can earn $100! If 100 collect 20/month - we can earn $2,000!!!!

Want to contribute the PTO so they can buy the items?  PTO revenue goes to support wishlist items and you can donate to them and they will fulfill wishes.

October 14 - Colby is our Student Spotlight. He is in Mrs. McKendree’s kindergarten class. Colby’s favorite colors are red and blue. He loves playing kickball and going out on the boat. His favorite class is math and he likes to read Clifford books.
In the news - Proud of our SH girls for competing in the 2019 State Fair Talent completion. Olivia - vocal solo, Savannah - instrumental solo, and Emma - dance solo. Savannah was named Regional winner and competed again Saturday morning.
 
Key Club Juniors and Seniors look forward to helping with Kids First Fall Festival each year!
