GEM Fellowship Closes November 15th
If you are a senior STEM major who will be applying to graduate school in Fall 2020, you will want to know about the GEM Fellowship.

GEM’s principal activity is the provision of graduate fellowships at the MS and PhD levels coupled with paid summer internships. GEM also offers fellowships without paid summer internships through our GEM University and Associate Fellowship programs. Unlike most graduate school funding, GEM Fellowships also provide funding at the Master's level.

The GEM Fellowship application opened on July 1 and closes on November 15, 2019. See http://www.gemfellowship.org/students/gem-fellowship-program/ for details.
Summer Research - Early Identification Program (Leadership Alliance)
The Summer Research - Early Identification Program offered through the Leadership Alliance has paid summer research opportunities at member institutions in the following areas:

Applied Mathematics • Computer Science • Education • Engineering • Humanities • Life Sciences • Mathematics • Physical Sciences • Psychology • Social Sciences

The mission of the Leadership Alliance is to develop underrepresented students into outstanding leaders and role models in academia, business and the public sector. To apply you must have completed at least two semesters of undergraduate study and have at least one semester remaining.

The program brochure is available at https://theleadershipalliance.org/sites/default/files/2019%20SR-EIP.FINAL2.pdf

Note: The SR-EIP is not designed for students in professional training programs in the law, business, clinical medicine, clinical psychology or the allied health professions.
The Kearns Center Newsletter is an open forum to allow our students to share information. The Center does not endorse or make endorsements of any candidates for student elections and positions.
