Eric and Ann had a fantastic time in Spain this past September during the plein air workshop in Barcelona and along the Costa Brava. When they first visited the area in 2016, they fell in love with the landscape and the people, plus there are endless spots to set up for plein air painting!

Together you will explore the area via train and cable car and reach the mountain tops for astounding views - perfect for painting!
This fourteen night workshop will provide you with expert instruction along with shared experiences with fellow watercolor artists.

WIEGARDT'S PAINTERLY WATERCOLORS
Eric Wiegardt AWS-DF, NWS will enthusiastically share his award winning watercolor techniques. He will demonstrate the design concepts, techniques, and theory that have garnered him international recognition. Even though demonstrations most likely will be presented in his bold and loose signature style, tight painters as well will appreciate Eric's knowledge in achieving a "painterly' look. He will show how to construct a beautiful painting in one sitting with lectures that are easily understood and helpful. It is recommended that the student have minimal previous painting experience. There will be ample time for students to try the concepts presented in a safe environment. Daily demonstrations may include marinescapes, landscapes, still lifes, street scenes, and interiors.
WIEGARDT'S WATERCOLOR PLEIN AIR WORKSHOP
This class is designed to familiarize the student with the joy of painting out of doors. Keen observation combined with the student’s personal interpretation for an expressive painting will be the mainstay of discussion. We will be visiting several locations, so transportation is encouraged with the possibility of sharing rides.
All levels of experience welcome.
