Eric's early inspiration to improv came from a show performed by The Reckoning (available on youtube), who performs a 35-minute Harold, from the suggestion "surgery". It's an all-time favorite that I have re-watched multiple times. It helped me early on when I was learning what longform is and can be. Their ensemble work and group mind in the opening are terrific. The scenes show tremendously patient, intelligent play. They clearly trust each other, and find ways to be really funny without pandering. It finishes strong and feels like a fully developed piece.
You can see Eiic perform with:
Zombie Gourmet every 1st Saturday
Displacers every 3rd Saturday
Emeny every 4th Saturday

Birds and Broads
Cast: Jacque Arend and Liz Hutchman
Starting as a one-night-only performance, Birds & Broads have now been performing together for four years. They focus on a single location scene, creating a strong relationship at the top after which they may or may not explore the other rich characters who inhabit that space. Their shows bounce from being utterly hilarious to edge-of-your-seat engaging.

My first experiences in improv I remember that I was a looking for an outlet and found an 8 week improv class. It was great and I had a lot of fun and when the classes were over I was asked to join the troupe. It was at that time that I met a lot of the people who would be part of my improv journey, including Sam Haldiman. At that time he and myself and others were playing every single weekend, often two shows a night, on top of rehearsing together weekly. We had such a rhythm as performers - we knew one another’s style of play and trusted each other so much that every moment on stage was a dream.
You can see Liz perform with:
Zombie Gourmet every 1st Saturday
Birds and Broads every 3rd Saturday
Skewed News Hour every 3rd Friday

Displacers
Cast: Chris Hooper, Eric Storie, Rick Grove, Sam Haldiman, and Sara Palmer, with accompanist Chad Michael Lawson
The Displacers have been performing the long-form signature format the Harold for five years.
They perform with a high energy and create a rich cast of characters that will keep you talking about their show for days.
It's no use trying to explain the show to a friend. Tell them they just need to be there.
