The Society of Jesus has made plight of migrants one of its priorities. In Central and North America, the Jesuit Refugee Servie (JRS) has promoted the relationship between the Jesuit Universities. From the work developed in the various forums of the Network, academic links have arisen between different institutions.
Each semester, since 2007/2018 academic year, the Universidad Iberoamericana (IBERO) - Mexico City in collaboration with Loyola University Chicago (LUC) and The Catholic Charities of Chicago carry out the successful international student immersion program focused on migration issues "Academic Practice and Social Service with Mexican migrant population in Chicago, U.S.A.".
Did you know about this program? Perhaps there is something similar in your region or institution or maybe you are interested in doing something similar. Read the report by Graciela Hernández, Universidad Iberoamericana Ciudad de México. Article
