As the season is slowly coming to an end (at least here on the old continent), I often look back, and on all the things we have done and had a privilege to be a part of. There has been plenty of moments when I, and this is probably true for you too, asked myself is all this worth it. All this hassle and hard work make you wonder. And then you get to put together a newsletter like this, about these people, about the adventures they lived. All is forgotten.

Who does this?

With 450 sailors enrolling each year and doing it in a matter of hours from when the application opens. You got to wonder – what is happening up there in Svendborg that all of these people found it to be a good idea. Even more, who are the people that found it to be a good idea?

When we last looked at Garda Lake on Sunday night it was getting dark at dusk, we were driving home. Ana said that is hard to leave Garda behind. A movie of my memories started playing in my head. Memories that bind me to this very special place.

It is time for the last sailing signature event of the season, regatta Jabuka (apple in Croatian). If you are in the mood for the largest Adriatic offshore race, we have one 27 available to rent. The boat is currently in Izola so it could be transferred by water or by road (the first option will get you more sailing and less work). If someone is interested, please let us know.

When the comfort limit is pushed too far even for our high standards and the cold keeps us away from sailing, we don't want to be away from our family, our tribe. It is time for us to gather on dry land. Look back on the endeavours we embarked on in the last year and talk about the plans for the future. Come and join us on our traditional end of year celebration in our hometown. Make a trip out of it and enjoy our company and festive Christmas Ljubljana as well.

We are officially declaring the date of The Challenge 2020. Our flagship event is returning to the traditional third weekend of April. The race will start on Friday the 17th of April, but make sure you plan for the rich program in the days before as well.  Registrations will open on the 6th of January at 6 PM CET.
