"go-to" place when we decided to go out at the last minute. I'll remember the many intimate dinners my wife and I shared there, the times at the bar meeting new and old friends, the parades we watched with our grandchildren, the "It's a Wonderful Life" dinners and the weekly entertainment led by Turnpike Mike. I'll remember the staff members that passed through, Sean, Rob, Karen, Jesse, Luke, Maggie, Yvonne and others and I'll remember the ever gracious host and owner Rod Kerr. So, Remington's, thanks for the memories. You had a good run.

SHIPWRECK POINT INTRODUCES NEW MENU

Shipwreck Point in Point Pleasant has introduced a new Fall/Winter menu with reduced pricing and some very interesting new items. There are still delicious steaks on the menu but here's a sampling of some new items:
Baked Sicilian Clams
Maryland Crabcake - Granny

Moules Marinieres - Mussels, leeks, thyme, shallots, hard cider
Provence Spinach Salad - baby spinach, aged goat cheese, sundried cranberries, candied pistachios in a warm bacon vinaigrette
Pescatore Cucina - Sauteed shrimp, scallops, mussells, clams and swordfish in a hot cherry pepper pomodoro sauce over parpardelle pasta
Coquille Saint Jacques - seared diver sea scallops, sherry cream, Gruyere cheese, bacon, mushrooms in a mashed potato shell.
