ICE VS FIRE

It’s a tantalising mid-table clash in the KPMG Women’s Premiership this week, as 4th placed Natixis HKFC Ice host 5th placed SCAA CWB Phoenix, 6pm kick-off at HKFC. It’s a crucial game for both teams as they seek to secure a top half place in the standings, before the Premiership splits into major and minor divisions in November.

MEN ENJOY GREAT ARSS

The Hong Kong Men’s Sevens team reached the Cup final in Sri Lanka, and thereby finished second overall in this year’s Asia Rugby Sevens Series (ARSS), a result that means they qualify for the World Series.  The Women’s team won the Plate in Sri Lanka and finished 5th overall, which means they just missed out on their World Series Qualifier, but both squads are now fully focused on the Olympic Qualifiers next month, with the historic opportunity to book a berth at the Tokyo Games in 2020!
