Happy Friday! This week’s newsletter has a whole bunch of Instagram animation inspiration. I did that thing where I kept saving links that I wanted to share with you, and then forgetting to share them for the last couple of weeks. So, now you get them all at once. 😀

There’s also an interesting read on clipping techniques for animated effects. Clipping shapes and content can really add a bit of magic to an animation.

There is lots of floaty morphing shape motion going on throughout this site. It’s great how the shapes are also reflected in some of the non-animated content as well.

Art itself animation
There’s some wonderful layering and illustration style going on in this animated clip. (The rest of the post shows some in progress illustrations for it too.)

Animal walk cycles
Animade brings a crew of cute animals to life in these walk cycle clips. I don’t know where all these cute animals are going, but I’d totally go with them.

Drip drop type animation
Such a fun and illustrative type animation! (And it's an animated typeface too.)

Clipping, clipping and more clipping
You can make some really neat animated effects using clip-path. Mikael Ainalem breaks down a whole series of techniques you can use in this CSS Tricks article.

Create text in Three.js
A handy Codrops tutorial on creating animated text effects in Three.js.
