This Sunday is Lay Witness Sunday. This is the Annual Sunday when we recognize the important role that non-clergy also play in the of the church. We invite our lay persons to come Sunday with a spirit of RENEWAL and RECOMMITMENT to sharing our individual gifts to support kingdom building at Adams Chapel.

The Connectional Lay Organization has one (1) highly recognizable logo, which incorporates the cross and anvil surrounded in a circle by the AME Church Lay Organization banner in the organization’s colors of royal blue and white. “The Anvil... has a symbolic and a historical meaning which must be noted by all who call themselves African Methodists. The founding fathers purchased a blacksmith’s shop and converted it into their house of worship.” The empty cross represents the ultimate sacrifice and victory that Jesus made for all who believe.
Back to School 2019

Won’t He do it!!! Thank you for blessing us to be a blessing in September. Twenty-one classrooms and over 400 students at Liberty Elementary are covered with our prayers whenever they touch a tissue or wash their hands or use hand sanitizer ....We also provided backpacks filled with school supplies for our Adams Chapel youth.

Then we went back to Liberty Elementary in October to drop off 2 cases of notebook paper and lots of pencils, crayons and glue sticks! A special thank you to the Mary L. Fisher Missionary Society, Renae Freeman, Mell Lowery from Houston, Texas and the McClammy family in Wilmington, NC and all the members of Adams Chapel.
