Praise the Lord! We have been approved by Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, IL, to do the initial work up in preparation for my kidney transplant along with the stem cell study.
We will need travel and living cost and incidentals cost to cover all that is involved in such a major endeavor. If everything in the work up checks out fine and I qualify for the Stem Cell Study, we will need to be in the Chicagoland area for at least 6 months to a year. If you could help with a love offering at this time it would be a great blessing. We are making plans to go to Chicago as soon as Northwestern gives us the appointment. We have been waiting over a year for God to open these doors.
They are asking for a deposit of $65,000 upfront for the work up as well as $288,000 upfront for the kidney transplant surgery. Although I have been approved by Good Samaritan for both the work up and the kidney transplant, they will only reimburse me after the procedures are done. Therefore, Northwestern Hospital is asking for the entire amount in cash up front. We had sold our house and were able to pay today the $65,000. Also, if anyone knows who could lend us $288,000 upfront so Northwestern will do the surgery, it would be a great help. Good Samaritan has approved me to be reimbursed this amount.
Please pray that God will have His hand in this entire endeavor and also please pray for my nephew who is giving me his kidney.
