London Clarion CC October 2019

Sunday 20th October - Exploring the River Wandle on a Brompton: 
With a good number of London Clarion members now having a Brompton Bike we thought it was time we had a ride specifically designed for Brompton Bikes! If you don't have a Brompton you can still join the ride.  

Being 9 miles in length, the River Wandle is the largest river of the South, South West sector of London. It passes through the London boroughs of Croydon, Sutton, Merton and Wandsworth. The plan is to set off at 9am and end up at the Gypsy Hill Brewery taproom afterwards for a drink. Don has kindly volunteered to lead this ride.

Saturday 26th October - Surrey Quays to Brighton and train back:
Meet 8.00am from Breakfast (to leave 8.30am) at The Rockingham Arms (JD Weatherspoon), Metro Central Heights, 119 Newington Causeway, London SE1 6BN. 

An opportunity to follow a similar route to the official London to Brighton, British Hearth Foundation bike ride which some of our members did in June. You will need train tickets back to London, please also ensue you bring a spare inner tube. Simon has kindly agreed to lead this ride. 

Potentially meeting some members from Brighton and Hove Clarion Cycling Club in the Signalman pub afterwards for a quick pint. Address: 76-78 Ditchling Rise, Brighton, BN1 4QQ.

Saturday 16th November Surrey Quays to Sevenoaks and back to London. c. 45 miles
Meet 8.00am for Breakfast (to leave 9.00am) at Surrey Docks JD Wetherspoons, 185 Lower Road, London SE16 2LW. Time to check out those Sevenoaks pubs! If you fancy leading this ride get in touch.
