Hello Tompkins County Democrats and Volunteers,

As I'm sure you know this is a local election year, and they are all important in their own right! They also present a great opportunity to strengthen our organizational muscles in preparation for the big battle in 2020. Hence, we are inviting you to join us in campaigning in our local contested elections this fall. 

We are organizing door-to-door canvassing in the town of Lansing where, believe it or not, they have Republican opponents. Lansing is a classic contest between big money contributions and volunteer energy, so we have the opportunity to prove once again that volunteer enthusiasm can overcome big money every time. 

Lansing has door-to-door canvassing scheduled for Sunday October 20th and 27th, and November 3rd. If we have enough volunteers we will add canvassing events on Saturday October 19th and 26th, and November 2nd. We are planning to hold phone banks for the Supreme Court candidates ~ Claudette Newman and Pete Charnetsky.

Chautauqua Democrats Day of Action October 19th

For those adventurous volunteers there is the Chautauqua Democrats Day of Action on October 19th. You can join fellow Dems from Chautauqua to hit the streets and canvas in support of Eddie Sundquist for Jamestown Mayor, Willie Rosas for Dunkirk Mayor (re-elect), Athanasia Landis for Fredonia Mayor, Austin Morgan for NY State Senate, and all local Dems on the 2019 ticket.

Please Note: In a show of NY-23 district unity, TCDC encourages all members to consider participating in the Chautauqua Democrats Day of Action on October 19th. TCDC has not endorsed a congressional candidate for the 23rd; this Day of Action is a Chautauqua Dems event and you can choose to get there any way you want, the bus is just one option available.
