A number of Australian jurisdictions have issued new insurance regulations, including Victoria by way of ministerial gazette No. S 293, of 11 July 2019, in response to cladding exclusions being included in most renewed building practitioner insurance policies. This piece explores some of the possible impacts upon building practitioner litigation.

Kim Lovegrove Awarded Ethiopian Honours: Honour of Chevalier Member of the Imperial Order of the Star of Ethiopia (MSE)

On 9 October 2019, Mr. Gregory R. Copley AM, GCHT, FRCGS, FSS, FRSN on behalf of Prince Ermias Sahle Selassie (President of the Crown Council of Ethiopia) presided over an investiture ceremony whereby Kim Lovegrove MSE, RML, FAIB was bestowed the Honour of Chevalier Member of the Imperial Order of the Star of Ethiopia (MSE). Needless to say, Kim Lovegrove was exceptionally grateful as was his wife Tsigereda Lovegrove for being afforded this honour.
