Hello dear violin and viola players,

As the days become shorter, what better time to find a nice warming piece to practise and to indulge in. I love this time of year, where there are fewer distractions than in the summer, and I can really tuck into a piece of music.

Last month was Sonata month, and we had a couple of really good comments about which sonatas you were playing and why. This November is Concerto month. Do please let us know which concerto you are currently practising and why. What is it that you enjoy in this concerto, which performances have you listened to and so on. It is always lovely to hear from others what attracts them in a certain piece of music. You can follow the discussion in the Fans of Pro-Am Strings Facebook Group.
