From our Pastors...
Before moving to Coventry we led the youth group at Oxford Vineyard. We both grew up as active members of our church youth groups, which is really where we both met Jesus and committed to following him. We recognise the importance of an active and authentic youth ministry, not just for our own three children but for each and every family connected to this church that Jesus has drawn together.

This Sunday our young people will be leading us in worship, serving, teaching and preaching and praying for us. Please be praying for our them and for our committed youth team, led by Serena. Please also remember to pray for all our young people as they seek to follow Jesus and face a very different culture to the one we grew up in .

"It is the job of the Church collectively to come alongside young people, to invest in them, and to show them what a life lived with Jesus looks like...Young people are not the Church of tomorrow, they are the Church of today. To dismiss them as being just for the youth-work team to deal with sends the message that they are not full participants in the life of the Church. We need to involve them, discern their gifts, and take risks by letting them have a go." - Hannah Barr. Amen!

In other news...
Transformed individuals transform culture. We are called to grow in our own spiritual lives, becoming more like Jesus as we follow Him, for the sake of others. This is Spiritual Formation.  “Spiritual formation is a process of being conformed to the image of Christ for the sake of others.” (Mulholland, Invitation to a Journey). Join us next Sunday for the beginning of what we hope to be a truly transformative journey in the life of this church.
