What does it mean to be a “Sanctuary Church.” We will discuss the meaning and possible implications of the recent action at the Churchwide Assembly in declaring the ELCA a “Sanctuary Church.”
Mt. Carmel will serve at People's Kitchen on November 1st.

Food collection list for Iglesia Luterana Santa Cruz
The social action team invites you to join us as we collect food to replenish supplies for Santa Cruz Church pantry. Starting October 6th, the grocery cart will be out in front of the narthex doors. When you bring your food just put it in the grocery cart.
October 6th = bags of dry beans only, Pinto or red beans. (No canned beans please).
October 13th = bags of white rice (no fancy Gourmet mixes please)
October 20th = maseca/corn flour (not corn meal) and all-purpose or wheat flour
October 27th = large bags of small pasta

STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN
We are beginning our stewardship campaign with the theme Harvest of Gratitude. There will be brief talks in worship services, Adult Forum presentations and, in November, a pledge drive. In these activities we explore how we can live out God’s mission her at Mt. Carmel.
