The fall issue of Women’s Health in Focus at NIH is now available on the website of the Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH). The feature story of this issue (Volume 2, Issue 3) focuses on how stress can affect the health of women and how mitigating chronic or acute stress and treating dysfunctional stress responses can improve health. Other articles discuss body mass changes associated with perimenopause, antidepressant drug development, burnout among women physicians, equity initiatives having positive effects on university culture, and more.
