God's Work, Our Hands
Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church is embarking on a two-fold emphasis in mission in the life of the church, as we begin to build our new church at the corner of Highland Valley and Highway 67.
We will be looking at our own spiritual journey and formation and will also be engaged in a helping ministry to the community. We are excited to welcome the participation of congregational members from the Ramona United Methodist Church again this year.
The 4th Annual “God’s Work – Our Hands” event will take place on Sunday, October 27th. We will gather at the Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church at 9:00 a.m. on that Sunday and be commissioned to go out and get involved in various projects that will aid the people of Ramona and the community. Some of this year’s projects include delivering healthy snack baskets to our First Responders, yard work and tree trimming at the Ramona Community Center and at the future home of Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church located at the corner of Highland Valley Road and Highway 67, trash pick-up along Main Street, as well as helping out at Frosted Faces and TheraPony.
Don’t miss this opportunity to give back to our community, and considering joining us for this event. There is something for everyone and ALL are welcome. Sign ups for the event will be at the church each Sunday between services. If you have any questions please contact Tara Gehler at 760-960-5990 or email Pastor Dan at revumup@sojchurch.com.
