Join the Hike to Aaqoura!
The UC Health Ministries and Pathfinder groups invite you to join them hiking in Aaqoura on Sunday, October 20. The bus will leave from the MEU parking lot at 7:30am, and return by 4:30pm. Children and students are free; working adults pay 5,000 LBP.
What to bring: A water bottle, a sack lunch and a jacket (just in case). Register by Wednesday, Oct 16 to reserve a seat on the bus! Contact Lina Issa (WhatsApp: 03-009-376). 
Creation Sabbath will be held on October 26 as a combined worship service of the Lebanon Section at Bouchrieh Adventist Secondary School featuring Dr. Tim Standish of the Geoscience Research Center.  Sabbath School will begin at 9:15am and Church at 11:00am.  There will be no worship services that morning on the MEU campus.  Transportation will be arranged form MEU for students and others who need it.  Additionally, Dr. Standish will speak on campus for University Church vespers on Friday night at 7:30pm and Sabbath sundown vespers at 5:30pm.
Interested in running the Beirut Marathon Nov. 10?
The University Church and MEU are teaming together again this year to form some relay teams for the Beirut Marathon. 
 
Here are the details.  Each relay team needs 6 team members, and the six segments are the following distances:
  1. 5K
  2. 10K
  3. 5K
  4. 10K
  5. 5K
  6. 7K
Total: 42K (26.2 miles)

The registration deadline is October 25, and so we have a little more than two weeks to organize our teams.

Please let Pastor Jared (jared.miller@adventistemr.org) know if you are interested in being part of a relay team, and what distance you are prepared to run.

There are other races besides the relay, including the full marathon, half, 8K race, 8K fun run, etc.  For any races besides the marathon relay, you will need to register yourself.  The relay team members register altogether as a team.
