Waterquest Newsletter- Fall, 2019
When To Adjust Your Watering Schedule - Alert
This could be an entire newsletter topic, but I'll be brief.  Watering your landscape is more of an art than an exact science.  Some people stop watering completely with the 1st freeze; others water once or twice per month throughout the entire winter.  Which is better?  If you have a new landscape you do want to continue watering throughout the winter, but maybe only twice per week; and water around 1PM when it is less likely to be freezing outside.  Otherwise, I suggest taking your timer out of automatic mode.  To do this simply turn the timer to the "off" position.   Then, once or twice per month, when the weather looks to be mild for the next few days, manually start a watering cycle.  This should help you lawn bounce back in the spring.  This is also a good time to do fall aeration & fertilization.(it helps the roots grow).  Please call the office at 792-3600 for help.

Fall Yard Care-
It’s that time of year- the leaves are changing and the weather is cooling down.  That means it is time to fertilize your lawn in preparation for winter.  Fall is the best and most important time to fertilize your lawn because Fall’s morning dew delivers moisture to help turf absorb the fertilizer.  The grass has a chance to build stamina before a chilly winter.  Supporting root growth in fall leads to a healthier, greener lawn in spring.  Call us today to schedule fertilization, sprinkler timer adjustment, or if you need a cleanup/leaves raked.
Two Men & a Ladder-
It’s time to begin thinking about creating a holiday landscape in your yard.  Under your guidance, WaterQuest can help you string holiday lights on your home and create a magical holiday scene that will delight your neighbors and guests.  A dazzling light display is possible with our assistance.  Call us today to schedule “two men & a ladder” to help you add holiday flair to your landscape.
