Coming Together

Together, we can.

#ForTheLoveOfEachOne
Growing a Stronger Community

A note from our Summit Coordinator, Barb Ranck:
"This year, we switched up the format from a traditional lecture approach, with one presenter at a time, to a topical panel approach. This allowed us to cover more updates more efficiently, and to offer stage visibility for more organizations. The following feedback from both a panelist and an attendee capture the success and impact of the panel format:

Panelist, The Set Me Free Project:
'The networking opportunities were great! I work for The Set Me Free Project and I feel like we made so many great connections with both community members and other organizations in this work.'

A Summit Attendee:
'My job is to maintain sex offenders' whereabouts, so I wasn't 100% sure how this conference would  be beneficial to me. However, I was really moved by all of the agencies that have a program in place for sex trafficking. I plan on getting involved to see what I would be able to do to help promote these organizations.'

Overall, we felt that the day was a huge success! We reached 200 community members with updates, education, and the chance to network and brainstorm better interdisciplinary communication methods in the future. As each person that attended the summit returns to and educates their own sphere of influence, a ripple effect of equipping will spread through our community, cutting down on sex-buying demand and improving the ways in which victims of trafficking are process and cared for. We look forward to seeing the greater impact of a community of various professions working together towards this common goal."

Garden Gate Ranch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of its partners and community to ensure the service of each young woman. Because her worth was once defined by the money she made each night, she will never be asked to pay a cent for her stay at any of our homes. Your financial investments support the current assistance of local women in need as well as the program and operation costs necessary for each future resident to stand on her own feet again. Because of your support, she will have the space to test her wings and, one day, to soar.

"My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest." -Isaiah 32:18

Help us finish the renovation of the Ranch House so we can open our doors in 2020 and give her rest. Beginning in November, you can help fill her heart and her home by sharing your love and meeting various Garden Gate Ranch needs. As the Hearth & Home Campaign runs, you'll get to watch the golden heart fill up with a beautiful mosaic, signifying the many necessary pieces for her healing coming together to make her heart whole.
Do You See Her?
“God started to speak to me about human trafficking, which I knew so little about. I heard women say, “No one is looking for me,” '“No one cares,” “They look right at me but don’t see me,” “They don’t think I’m worth fighting for,” “Will somebody come? Will someone help?” I felt their pain that day, and I felt God’s pain. At that moment, I knew these were the ones I was to help and that this was my mission field.”
