You are warmly invited to take part in co-creating a vision for trees in Exmouth on 23 November

Dear Councillor.
Wild Exmouth and Exmouth Tree Group are leading a day called Celebrating Trees on Saturday 23 November. Events and activities run from 11 am til after dark and we would specifically like to invite you to the visioning event to co-create a vision for trees in Exmouth.

11.30 – 12.00 Anne-Marie Culhane & Dr Tom Powell will talk about significance of trees in our cultural and natural landscape including their part in the carbon cycle and wider ecosystems.

12.00-2.00 General public and landowners are coming together to co-create a vision for the future of trees and tree planting in Exmouth and surroundings.

This part of the day will be taking place at the Scout Hut on Marpool Hill.

We will use a giant map to help plan and discuss opportunities for the future. Representatives from Clinton Devon, National Trust and East Devon District Council will be attending along with local community groups and residents.

We are keen to connect groups and individuals wanting to plant trees with people who know about or have access to land, and to create a plan that is coherent, considered and works in partnership.

This will be an exciting day for all ages to suggest ideas for the future and to engage with some amazing trees to be found in Phear park and beyond. Full programme can be seen here

If you can attend please RSVP to let us know.

 Autumn regards
Tim Dafforn (Wild Exmouth Coordinator)
Anne-Marie Culhane (Wild Exmouth Artist in Residence)
