Where Are We Wednesdays? 

Wednesdays at Tri-C's Metro Campus are here! During Wednesdays until November 13th members of the Campus District team will be in Tri-C’s new Metro Campus Center from 11:30am-1:30pm! Being out in the District allows us to hear from our residents and gives you a chance to talk to us. Catch one of our staff members on Wednesday, November 6th from 11:30am-1:30pm to chat about the neighborhood, ask questions, and tell us your thoughts!

fp Creative in the ArtCraft

fp Creative is the team of artists behind fresh perspectives, the innovative concert series in Downtown Cleveland. Come celebrate the launch of their 2019-2020 concert season with fashion, art, and classical music. All while taking in sweeping views of the Downtown skyline!

Wear your best green-hued or nature-inspired fashion -- prizes for those with the freshest cuts. Enjoy earthly delights, take pictures with interactive installations, and hear fp Creative's inaugural emerging artists-in-residence, Catharsis Winds in concert. With Art/Sound Installations by Susie Underwood and Naomi Columna!


This gala for the people will be hosted on Thursday, November 14th from 7pm-10pm at Snap House Studios in the historic ArtCraft Building (2530 Superior Avenue Unit 500). Don't be seen, be the scene. All pretty in green.

The Heat Is On

Cuyahoga Community College's Entrepreneur Program is a collaborative partnership between CMSD and Tri-C which provides Cleveland high school students with a clinical business education through real-world experiences to solve entrepreneurial issues for the overall betterment of their community.
 
A project they are currently working on is managing The Heat Is On, an event designed to connect those in need in our community to the multitude of free and low-cost services that are available. Campus District will be tabling at both times listed on the flyer, hope to see you there!

NEOCH's New Cuyahoga County Street Card

The 30th edition of the Street Card, published by the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless (NEOCH) is now complete! Copies of the newly designed booklet are being distributed in Cuyahoga County to inform people who are experiencing homelessness about the vital services in our community. This year, NEOCH gives their appreciation to MetroHealth for being their presenting sponsor and securing the printing of the Cuyahoga Street Card.  Click the button below to access or print the Street Card!

In the District

Trinity Cathedral officially begun their 42nd annual BrownBag Concert Series! The BrownBag Concert Series was established in 1978 in the centuries-old Anglican tradition of providing quality music free-of-charge for urban dwellers and workers in the acoustical and architectural splendor of a cathedral. The concert series goes until December, and the full schedule can be found here. All concerts start at 12 noon
The traveling exhibition Undesign the Redline is in the Campus District! This is a transformative interactive exhibit exploring the history of race, class and U.S. housing policy, and how this legacy of inequity and exclusion continues to shape our communities. You can see Undesign the Redline at Trinity Cathedral on Sundays from 10am-2pmWednesdays from 11am-1pm & 5pm-8pm, and Thursdays from 10am- 12pm until December 20th.
Cuyahoga Arts & Culture is excited to host their final Arts & Culture Network Night for 2019, in partnership with Neighborhood Connections on Thursday, November 7th at NewBridge Cleveland from 6 – 8 pm. The purpose of Arts & Culture Network Night is to connect artists, folks from arts organizations and other creative people from throughout the county for mutual support and possible collective action. Presented by CSU Department of Theatre and Dance, the theatre season opens on the Allen Theatre Mainstage with the Stephen Sondheim / James Lapine musical INTO THE WOODS, running Oct. 24 through Nov. 3, 2019. Directed by Russ Borski with musical direction by Maria DiDonato, this Tony Award winning musical begins with “Once upon a time…” and tells the intersecting stories of several Brothers Grimm and Charles Perrault fairy tales. At Trinity Cathedral on Wednesday, November 6 at 7:30 pm, there will be a speaker forum with guests Mordecai Cargill and Evelyn Burnett. These speakers are former Cleveland Neighborhood Progress employees, racial equity experts, and co-founders of ThirdSpace Action Lab. Their work and discussion forum is centered around the reality that, "there are not enough spaces in Cleveland designed with people of color in mind." Tri-C Theater presents Death of a Salesman tomorrow, Thursday, October 31st at 7:30pm. The play will be shown in the Mimi Ohio Theater of Playhouse Square for the remainder of the weekend! Get tickets here and click the logo for more details! 
The 6th annual Progress Institute is on Friday, November 1, 2019. This day-long learning symposium will bring together local community development industry professionals to learn more about the important issues and challenges within our neighborhoods. Cleveland Neighborhood Progress is proud to host this event in partnership with MidTown Cleveland and will be held at The Agora. Click the logo to register!
Downtown Cleveland Residents invites you to their Annual November Mixer on Thursday, November 7th from 6pm-9pm. November's monthly mixer will be at Geiger's.The purpose of this event is to build community in downtown Cleveland and is open to all downtown residents. The Center for Community Progress is thrilled to be embarking on their second year of the Community Revitalization Fellowship. In 2020, the Fellowship will help residents lead creative place making efforts to improve vacant, abandoned, and deteriorated properties. Eighteen people — cohorts of six people from three different communities — will be selected for the program. Apply to Community Progress’ 2020 Community Revitalization Fellowship by 5pm on Wednesday, November 20th here!
