💦 Sweat City
Equinox is having a moment right now. After recently opening up its swanky club in Anthem Row, it looks like the ultra-luxe gym is coming to the new City Ridge development near Tenleytown. This marks location number five in the DMV — that’s a lot of sweat! Details are still under wraps, but we expect killer classes, top-notch personal trainers, and all the high-end wellness goodies the health and fitness club is known for!

💫 Mediterranean Vibes
ICYMI, Ballston is booming. It feels like every week we’re announcing a new opening there. Today, it’s LebTav, the fast-casual eatery known for veggie and gluten-free goodness. Expect salads and rice bowls piled high with hummus. And we can’t forget about the falafel. P.S. Please tell us that someone is being a falafel for Halloween!

🚲 Spin Out
Warning: if you’re a regular at Zengo Cycle, this news might make you sad. The cycling studio is closing its Cathedral Commons location, with its last day of classes happening Sunday. That only gives you a couple of opportunities to book a bike for what will no doubt be a high-energy and emotional last few rides. Thank goodness there are four other Zengo locations around the DMV where you can still clip in!

💪 Yogi Power
How many CorePower Yoga studios is too many? The limit does not exist! That’s why we’re super hyped to hear our go-to spot for high-intensity yoga is coming to Adams Morgan. From full-body flows focusing on breathwork to heated rooms with weights, there are classes for all levels of yogis here. We can’t wait to check out the new studio!

😋 Bowl’d Over
One of the hardest parts when it comes to eating at Israeli street food spot Shouk is deciding what to get from its entirely vegetarian menu — and with the addition of new hummus bowls, the choice is now even tougher! We’re seriously drooling over the smooth and creamy chickpea dishes topped with falafel, mushroom shawarma, or cauliflower with roasted sweet potato. Yum!

🌱 World Vegan Day
Whether you’re a full-time vegan, or just dabble in cashew cheese every so often, November 1 is your chance to celebrate the amazing flavors and foods of plant-based cuisine in the city. Yep, this Friday is World Vegan Day, and there’s no better time to stop in for a meatless meal at one of DC’s top vegan restaurants — we’re craving the famous spinach artichoke dip at Great Sage!

Dairy-Free Delights
We all scream for vegan ice cream! There’s no denying that Ben & Jerry’s is the best. And in honor of World Vegan Day, the ice cream shop at the Wharf will be handing out free scoops of their non-dairy flavors from 4pm to 8pm. That’s perfect timing for a post-work cone full of chunks of cookie dough and swirls of cinnamon.
International Eats
No surprise here — a former member of Jose Andres’ ThinkFoodGroup is behind a stellar restaurant concept: cause-casual. Immigrant Food will serve fusion dishes celebrating America’s immigration history and act as a link between diners and donations to immigrant causes. In addition to what we can only assume will be mouthwatering dishes, the fast-casual eatery plans to eventually offer English language classes, produce an online magazine, and more.
