Black Women's Brunch - November 2nd 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Mellow Mushroom Avondale
My name is Lashawnda Anderson, and I am a 2014 (Jax) Alum! I currently teach at KIPP Impact Middle School as a 5th grade math teacher, and this is my 6th year in the classroom! Regardless if we were a 2008 CM or are current CM, we are all connected by the Teach For America network and I think it’s time that we start using this network to also fill our cups. This is why I want to formally invite you to our first Black Woman’s Brunch. This is a time and a space for us to just be real, black, and woman. This is not an event where we are coming together to work or sit through planned sessions, but rather to talk about professional transitions, relationships, work, leadership, get advice, be thought partners, or even just find a circle women who we can have positive vibes with.  This is a brunch event—so yes— I will be purchasing the bottomless mimosas!!! I hope you join me!! (Just know that all food and drinks are purchased and paid for by you…lol). Reach out to Lashawnda to join!
