New Home/Personal Community Security App - Lightcatch: Feedback Appreciated

Can you make a real difference stopping crime or trouble in your community in less than 5 minutes per week? We know you can. Our mission is to give anyone with a mobile phone and the free Lightcatch app the ability to crowdsource a suspect's location for the police in real time. By leveraging your input with others in the area, it leaves the bad guys on the getaway with nowhere to hide! It is safe, legal and very effective. And it takes maybe 5 minutes per week to make a difference.

Since launching in July thousands of people across Western Canada have gotten involved. Just this week we got this report: ‘Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful tool. You are making me and many others feel like we are getting our freedom back.’ Another article wrote Grande Prairie entrepreneur's crime-fighting app lauded by RCMP We'd love to have feedback from you too! Visit www.lightcatch.net for the app download links today.

Additional Feature Opportunity: Support an Alberta based technology company AND get 50% off an innovation that significantly reduces the time to upload from most security camera systems. https://www.lightcatch.net/sitesafe_prelaunch - only $30 per year with the 50% discount.

Darren Boyer - Founder, Lightcatch 780-306-2000

  • Provide a quality work experience opportunity, including 26-week full or part-time positions or 17-week summer work experience opportunities.
  • Support the development of the participant’s employability skills, help build their professional network and provide relevant work experience.
  • A wage subsidy between $10 and $12.50/hour is available and must be matched by the employer.

Let's Start Talking Again: Helping Leaders Lead Through Communication (Calgary)

We communicate more than we ever have in the past. With email, text, social media, and the internet, many people are constantly telling others what they think and how they feel. But are we really communicating well when it counts? Can we have the kind of face-to-face conversations in the workplace that are needed to move organizations forward?

The biggest problem many organizations have today are difficult conversations that either aren’t being held, or if they are, they aren’t being done very well. The most important thing a leader can do is influence the behaviour of others, and the best and easiest way to provide that influence is through effective communication.

When you participate in this session, you will learn:

  • The importance of leading teams and saying what needs to be said, but doing it without attitude or a big ego
  • Why good listeners are good communicators
  • Ways to control conversations by asking questions
  • How to prepare for and have difficult conversations
  • Tips to communicate more effectively on any situation
  • Ways to improve body language
  • Ways to build “cultures of communication” within organizations
