Solitaire Automotive unveils new home for Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Abarth

Solitaire Automotive has expanded its range of luxury European cars and is now the sole authorised dealer for the Italian marques, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Abarth.

It’s the first time that the marques have been housed in their own exclusive showroom in Adelaide, with Solitaire officially opening its new Glen Osmond Rd showroom last month.

Locally-owned and operated for more than 47 years, Solitaire now has carriage of all sales of Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Abarth; Aston Martin; Audi; Jaguar; Land Rover; Maserati and Volvo cars in South Australia.

Hughes worked with Solitaire to announce the range expansion and new showroom, including the following story in The Advertiser

Rare access to historic Vimy aircraft

More than 600 people have taken up the rare opportunity to get a close-up look of the historic Vickers Vimy aircraft at Adelaide Airport as part of the count down to the Epic Flight Centenary celebrations in November and December. The special open day was also marked by a flypast of vintage aircraft to toast 100 years since the first flight between England and Australia.

The Vimy will be relocated to a new purpose-built and more accessible space (pictured) within the newly expanded airport terminal in 2021, thanks to recent funding commitments by the State and Federal Governments and Adelaide Airport.

Willogoleche opens for Clean Energy Open Day

On October 27, Australia marked Clean Energy Open Day. The initiative, led by the Clean Energy Council, sees major solar and wind farms across the country open their doors to the public to help foster understanding of sustainable energy. In South Australia, Hughes supported ENGIE in hosting a community open day and tours of the state-of-the-art Willogoleche Wind Farm.

Our integrated PR and advertising campaign across local media helped to publicise the event, which saw people from across the north of the state attend the day and learn about renewable power.

Blog: Strategic sub brands

What are the benefits of anchoring your sub brands to the parent? Prestige, history, quality, trust, familiarity, can't afford to water down the parent brand? What are the cons? Tells the wrong story, completely different target audience/category, or the parent brand is irrelevant to the sub brand in another way and linking them would create confusion? Read

Video: What lies beneath?

For a number of years, Hughes has supported Gemtree Wines with traditional PR and video.

This year, we created a brand positioning video centred around the release of Gemtree’s 2018 vintage Subterra. With a single barrel of Shiraz resting, buried in the earth under vines for eight months, Subterra itself wholly encompasses Gemtree’s biodynamic philosophies and its unconventional approach to winemaking.
