2. ‘Save the Trees’.....
Come to the Urban Forest ( the Foresters’ Forest) at Gepps Cross 10 a.m. Sunday 3rd November... Tintookies will have a low key recreational course there on a map made by Ron Larsson. We want to impress the Dept of Rec and Sport that we value the forest and are worried by moves to knock down the 25 year old trees ( 12 different varieties planted by volunteers) to put soccer pitches in their place.
Enter the Sports Park off Main North Rd at the signs to the Velodrome and Hockey stadium... and look for ‘O’ signs. John Lyon... 8389 3143
Join the Foresters, Dept of Rec and Sport officers and local enthusiasts at a BYO Picnic lunch at 12 noon under Dame Roma Mitchell’s tree.
... and as before.... John Lyon 8389 3143.... or 049988 1941 when we are away from home.

5. Twilight Series – Helpers for SPORTIdent Finish
As trialed in January this year, the plan is to continue to use SI for the Twilight Series events (start Nov 15th).
Robin Uppill will organize the equipment and set up each event, however helpers on the day are needed. These events have many newcomers to be entered at the event. If we get enough helpers everyone should still get a run.
If you are interested, please contact Robin Uppill – aruppill@chariot.net.au
Olivia is organizing the roster for organizer, course planner and other helpers.
6. Summer Development camp
The Summer Development camp is going to happen, but not in December this year. The plan was to have it the week before Christmas, but I had a lot of States point out to me, that there are many Schools still in Term up until the 20th, and that there isn't enough time to hold a camp before Christmas, and/or the Christmas 5 days.
What we do know is the Camp will be in NSW, in early January soon after the 5 days. Stay posted, more information will come to hand once we have secured an Accommodation/Event centre.
