Launch of the Dashwood PCN
We had a great time at the launch of the Dashwood Primary Care Network (PCN) on Wednesday 18 September 2019. Dashwood PCN is made up of six practices, Chiltern House Medical Centre, Wye Valley Surgery, Carrington House Surgery, Stokenchurch Medical Centre, Cressex Health Centre and The Riverside Surgery. We heard about the vision for the PCN and how it would work. There were also sessions on how health inequalities would be tackled in the communities, care navigation, social prescribing and how practices were working with other organisations. If you want to find out more about PCN’s, check out our series of articles, here.

Have your say - Gluten-free food prescriptions
The Buckinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is reviewing guidance for GPs about prescribing gluten-free foods and need your views. The CCG is looking to bring the prescribing of food items for people with Coeliac disease more in line with other patients that require a special diet. The NHS does not provide food on prescription for all patients that require a specialist diet including those with food intolerance and food allergies. Therefore, it is looking to stop prescribing gluten-free foods.
In order to have your say, take part in the survey which is available, here.
