The scoop on Speaking Municipally Live

We had a great time on Thursday afternoon at the live recording of Speaking Municipally, featuring Edmonton city councillors Andrew Knack and Sarah Hamilton.

Speaking Municipally Live with councillors Andrew Knack and Sarah Hamilton
Co-hosts Troy Pavlek and Mack Male say they "pay attention to Edmonton City Council so you don't have to!" But really, this show from Taproot Edmonton makes it easier to pay attention to civic politics, because they make it real and funny, and they know what they're talking about.

We even got a little bit of news, as Troy asked the councillors to respond to the provincial budget cuts that were being announced during the live show. Listen to the clip.

The whole episode will be up today. Subscribe so you don't miss it.

Save the dates!

Here are a couple of fun things you might want to get in on.

This is Adulting is celebrating its first birthday on Nov. 15. Join Dani, Jack and Lindsay at Hudsons Pub at West Edmonton Mall at 7 p.m.

There's no program, just a happy little get-together with the hosts to celebrate an awesome milestone.
Let's Find Out is wrapping up this season the way it began — with a live show!

The event, called "How We Make Nature," will be at The Almanac in Edmonton on Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. Save the date, and watch this space or Let's Find Out's Facebook page for details to come.

In the meantime, you can see Chris in real life at his final book club of the season on Oct. 30. Come to Mill Creek Cafe at 7 pm to discuss Crow Planet: Essential Wisdom from the Urban Wilderness by Lyanda Lynn Haupt. (P.S. You don't have to have read the book. It will be fun either way.)
