Thank-You to our Parent Volunteers!

A BIG thank-you to all the parents who volunteered over the weekend to assist us with Photo Day and our studio dress rehearsals. These events can be very busy and complicated to run so the help that our volunteers provide is invaluable in making sure everything runs smoothly, and safely for all the students involved! You were amazing thank you.

If anyone is interested in helping out at the theatre dress rehearsals or performances please email admin@kewschoolofdance.com as we are still seeking people to volunteer backstage.

Lost Property

Our lost property box filled up over the weekend from Photo Day and the dress rehearsals. Please check to see if you are missing any items and be sure to check our lost property box when you next come in to the studio at 12 Peel Street. There were a number of items also reported missing that were not found in lost property including uniform leotards and ballet shoes. Please check your child's belongings to ensure they did not take any extra items home and please email admin@kewschoolofdance.com if you discover any extra items in your child's bag that do not belong to them.

Labelling Uniform and Belongings
We urge all parents to label all of their child's uniform items and other belongings as they can easily be mixed up or lost in the flurry of concert rehearsals and performances. We try our best to ensure all children's belongings are kept separate, however we cannot guarantee this. It is very helpful for us, and for you, to have labels that identify the owner of items easily and quickly.

Kew Festival Performance Canceled

After much deliberation we have decided to cancel our performance of Rapunzel’s Sister for the Kew Festival in March next year as there is not adequate time within which to develop and rehearse the show. We are still planning another performance of this show at a later date to allow more time for this. Thank-you to all the students who submitted their expression of interest for this performance. We look forward to working with you on the next production when we find a more suitable time. Please note that students will not need to attend on Saturday 23 November as previously advised.

Concert ticket and DVD reminder

Tickets
Please ensure you purchase tickets for the Junior Concert on 17 November! Tickets are now sold out for the 2:30pm performance. If you have purchased tickets for the 2:30pm performance that you do not need or plan to use please email admin@kewschoolofdance.com so that we can offer them to those who have missed out.
Tickets for the 10:30am performance are selling very quickly so make sure you book as soon as possible!

Tickets can be purchased via Trybooking: https://www.trybooking.com/BFNAP

DVDs
If you wish to purchase a DVD or MP4 video file of the junior concert you will need to place your order via the parent portal by  Sunday 17 November 8pm. MP4 files will be available for order one week after the concert and we will email the code and link once available. Please note that late DVD orders cannot be accepted. If you miss the cut off date you will need to purchase the MP4 file instead.

Props for The Nutcracker

We are still looking for a few prop items for our production of The Nutcracker! The items we still need are: 2 christmas stockings that are either red or relatively plain, and an angel to go on top of the christmas tree. If you have any items that fit these descriptions and you would be willing to lend them to us please email admin@kewschoolofdance.com to let us know.

2020 Enrolments

We are putting the finishing touches to our 2020 timetable and we hope to be able to share this with you very soon.  There has been an unexpected complication in that our current studio management software has tripled the price at one months notice. For a number of reasons including the price changes we have made the decision to change to a new software program for 2020.  We believe that the new system will enable us to provide better service in the long term. However in the short term we ask for your patience and understanding as we implement and learn the new system including a new enrolment system for next year. This has caused a delay in us being able to open 2020 enrolments.  Once they are open there will be a two week priority period for students to re enrol before we open enrolments to new students.

Updated Halloween Details
