From Connections Call (last night's conversation)

If you know your stuff, I apologize for the subject heading: it's SOIL actually and there is a remarkable resurrection story in what ecological farming methods tap into. You'll have to hear it for yourself from Kim Acker by listening to our call here.  After our usual gratitude sharing, we launched into Kim's re-telling of her unintentional calling to find herself on the streets (and in the jail cell) as a response to braking "business as usual".

Some resources via Kim's suggestions:
Kiss the Ground
> Short films by Ralph King (many thanks for sharing!):
Crossing the Divide, password: iowamarch and Step Outside (aimed at the curious non-activist) Arrestable (for those further along in their “radicalism")

Since this was a dynamic discussion, we didn't have time lift up a couple upcoming tools from Lutherans who are Restoring Creation:

Lisa Brenskelle (TX/Gulf Synod) has created a Devotional to lift up those in prayer during the the U.N. Climate Conference beginning on 12/2 - please let us know if you would like a booklet sent to you!

Larry Erickson (Central States Synod), Prof. of Chemical Engineering at Kansas State Univ.  has co-authored: "Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Improving Air Quality"  - written for a broad audience to look at the intersection of public health, technology, and the environment.

#GivingTuesday is December 3!
