In August the BID launched a monthly series with the Norwood News entitled "Merchant Spotlight". Each month the BID will feature a different small business owner in the district to help tell their story and shed some light on what goes on behind the scenes at some of our favorite local spots. Our 18th annual Fall Festival was the best one yet! We had thousands of community members join us on Jerome Avenue throughout the day. Over 50 vendors participated, 25 community organizations shared resources, and 4 local performers took to the stage. Our elected officials were in attendance as well. Thank you to State Senator Jamaal Bailey, Assemblywoman Nathalia Fernandez, Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz, District Attorney Darcel Clark, and Congressman Adriano Espaillat.

For just $5 plus tax Associates can get a turkey sandwich on wheat with mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, and light mayo with an apple and a drink (bottled water or seltzer). This deal will be on offer for the new few months until 11/6/19. Next time you’re at Tita Mini Market show your Montefiore ID and order the Healthy Lunch Combo! For non Montefiore Associates you can order the sandwich, a drink, and an apple for $7.
Reminder, the Keeper's House is officially a public food scrap drop off location! Stop by the house Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12-4 pm to drop off your food scraps and turn your food waste into compost.
