Loveland is proud to celebrate the corporate sponsors who partnered with the City to host events in 2019. Their generosity allowed us to host events that showcased our amazing City and provided fun and entertainment for our residents and visitors alike. Each week, we will be recognizing a corporate sponsor who made these events possible through their generosity and community spirit. This week we would like to showcase Bush-Re-Shea Insurance Agency.

Bush-Re-Shea Insurance is an independent insurance agency owned by Carey Bush and Bill Re.  Carey grew up in Centerville, Ohio and Bill grew up in Milford, Ohio.  Both have lived in the greater Dayton and Cincinnati areas since High School.  Carey attended the University of Cincinnati and Bill attended Xavier University.  Carey and Bill worked at Great American Insurance and at a management consulting firm within the insurance industry before opening their agency in 2005.

Bush-Re-Shea Insurance Agency represents several insurance carriers, allowing them to find the best combination of coverage and price for their customers.  They are actively involved business owners and are always available for insurance reviews.  Insurance can have certain complexities and it is important to know what a policy will and will not cover.  Bush-Re-Shea Insurance Agency strives to be sure their customers understand the insurance they are purchasing and why certain coverage options may be a good idea.

Bush-Re-Shea Insurance Agency are committed to maintaining a high standard of excellence and establishing a strong relationship of mutual trust and service to each of their clients. They offer personal attention, full-time professional service, competitive pricing, and a broad range of insurance products to meet your personal and business needs. Loveland Receives GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award

For the sixth consecutive year, the City of Loveland has received the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.

The award represents a significant achievement and reflects Loveland’s commitment to the highest principles of governmental budgeting.  In order to receive the budget award, an entity must satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation.  These guidelines are designed to assess how well an entity’s budget serves as: a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide, and a communications device.  Budget documents must be rated “proficient” in all four categories, and the fourteen mandatory criteria within those categories, to receive the award.

There are over 1,600 participants in the Budget Awards Program and less than twenty (20) municipalities in Ohio who earn the award.  Mayor Bailey said, “we are very proud to receive this award! Director of Finance Michelle Byrde and her staff have done an outstanding job, and all members of City Council are appreciative of their efforts. This award validates what we already knew - the residents of Loveland can rest assured that the finances of the City of Loveland are in good hands.”

The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association servicing the needs of approximately 19,000 appointed and elected local, state, and provincial-level government officials and other finance practitioners.  The GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards Program is the only national awards program in governmental budgeting.  The City’s budget is available to download at http://www.lovelandoh.gov/budget.
