The Critter Courier

A place for pet owners to laugh, love and learn!

"Such short little lives our pets have to spend with us, and they spend most of it waiting for us to come home each day.
It is amazing how much love and laughter they bring into our lives and even how much closer we become with each other because of them."
-John Grogan, Marley and Me-
This is Polly, and she's everyone's best friend. She will tell you when you have spinach in your teeth, when that guy is no good, and when, girl, you should just live a little. She told you when shoulder pads went out of style, when sweat pants came back in, and she handed you a big glass of wine after that awful day last month. She's got two floppy ears ready to listen, shoulders to lean on, and a heart that never runs empty of love to give.

We are booking up for Thanksgiving! If you are needing services during this time we highly recommend you send over your request!  We go on a waiting list every year!

Keeping Your Profiles Clean & Accurate
If we stay longer at visits then the contracted time due to editing profiles and messaging clients to clarify deliverables or outdated profiles, we will charge for the additional time at the visit. Profile updates are our Clients responsibility, as the routines and instructions are set forth by you for your pets.  Please, as a courtesy to our team, take the time to keep your profile up to date and current with your routines and instructions.

We cannot be held accountable for things we don’t know, or outdated information.

To update your account, click on the “My Info” tab, and the “Pet” tab.  This will allow you all the information we have on file for our duties and responsibilities for your home and to each individual pet.  Each field asks specific questions that will allow you to edit the information.

House Access by Codes (door and garage codes)
We have already experienced garage door pads and door key pads malfunctioning in the cold weather.  If the door(s) or codes malfunction, it will be the responsibility of the Client to pay for the visit, arrange for a new form of entry with an emergency contact, and possibly book an additional visit with CS. If an additional visit is required for entry, the Client agrees to pay for the additional visit.  To avoid this all together, HIDE A KEY!

November Pet Spotlight!

Hogan H.

This big guy is just one highlight of our week. Don't be fooled by his big bark because his heart is even bigger. Handsome Hogan is definitely a lover. There is nothing he loves more than his treats  and a good walk around his neighborhood, he also loves to bouncing around the backyard and sunbathing. Talk about a guy that has captured the hearts of all Sitters. We can't help but smother him with cuddles every time we visit. He is always happy to share the attention with his brother Tex. They are so precious and we love to spend time with them!

November Pet Spotlight!

Maddie and Bailey C.
There aren't much we can't say about this Lab duo! Maddie and Bailey love to be outside playing and enjoying company of their sitters. Maddie is a fetcher queen with her tennis ball and Bailey is always looking forward  to all of the attention and cuddles his Critter Sitters shower him with. What they love most, though, are their treats. They never fail to bring a smile to our faces. We always love the time we get to spend with these adorable babies.

In Memoriam

Recently, we had to say goodbye to our special friends, Lelia H. and Gabbi M.
Please join us in remembering these sweet babies who have gone over the Rainbow Bridge! It's never easy saying goodbye!

GET THE SCOOP!!  CAT & DOG QUESTIONS PET OWNERS LOVE TO ASK

Why does my dog love to shred paper and tissue?

Because it's fun! Dogs use their teeth and mouths to explore the environment. Chewing and shredding things is normal exploratory behavior for many dogs, especially young puppies. Providing your dog with opportunities to shred things enriches his life. Giving her a paper bag stuffed with a few treats guarantees several minutes of entertainment. Dogs can't read labels, so they do not know if a household item came from the pet store of the home store. Set your puppy or adult dog up to succeed and manage access to items that you do not want shredded.

Why do cats knead?

Kneading behavior is something that kittens do when nursing to get milk from Mom. It is believed to stimulate milk production, which is critical for kitten survival. Some cats continue this behavior beyond weaning, often in situations similar to that of a nursing kitten - such as lying on a soft, fuzzy blanket or cuddling with their human. We believe it's just their response to feeling safe and happy!
