The Marin IJ reported the following in an article updated at 6:53 p.m. on Friday, October 25:
"The shutoffs are expected to begin sometime in the afternoon, PG&E said Friday evening. The utility said Marin was on an outage 'watch,' and blackouts were expected in portions of nearly every city, town and unincorporated community in the county.
"A spokeswoman for the Marin County Office of Emergency Services said PG&E has told the county that the outages will almost certainly impact Marin, but the utility couldn’t confirm Friday evening which areas would lose power. PG&E could only speculate, she said."
Once power shutoffs begin, the areas without electricity will show on the PG&E outage map.
