Alert October 28, 2019

It is crunch time! Elizabeth Betancourt is the Democrat running in the special election for California Assembly District 1 on November 5.  The campaign will be doing phone-banking on Sunday, November 3, at 699 Washington Blvd., St B-7, . For more info or activities(see here).
MoveOn and a collection of other groups are planning a nation-wide march for the night before the House's vote on impeachment. The hope is that a huge turn out will encourage MoC's to vote for impeachment.  Stay tuned for for future announcements.  This will be an important event!  We need volunteers to help be on a phone tree to notify people when this is to happen.  Contact Pat if you can help!
A federal court has ruled, in a 75 page decision, that the impeachment inquiry being carried out now with three committees is legal and following the proper procedure. It has also ruled that the Grand Jury testimony that was redacted in the Mueller Report is to be made available to the Congressional committees. This is all good news going forward.  It also invalidates the inaccurate motivation for the incursion by GOP, including LaMalfa, into the confidential meetings.
Banners crew was out again last Friday.  Keep watching for the latest opportunity to join this "Happenin'" group!!

The group registering new voters at Sierra College could use more help. So far they have registered 26 new Democrats. If you would like to expand our reach by going to Sierra College on Tuesdays or Thursdays, contact Gail Bartlow.
Precinct Captain Training
It has been proven that the personal contact and door-to-door meetups are the most effective in GOTV.  The precinct Captain Program will give you a limited area that is YOUR neighborhood.  You will get information that will enable you to contact other Democrats. ( No use trying to convince the Republicans in your area.)  But, we want and NEED all Democrats to vote!  The training will be on this Saturday, 11/2 from 10-2 p.m.  It will be at the Placer Co. Dem office in Roseville.  Trainers will show you how to meet your neighbors, write up a catchy, informative door-hanger for outreach, and more.  We need to get the reluctant voters out in mass.  To register go to PANregistration
