The Art of the Personal Essay
There aren't enough hours in the day to keep up with the news coming out of Washington.
Every morning I wake up to a slew of headlines from what feel like world-changing updates, The news has a vice grip on our attention because it's, well, new. Like monkeys in an open-air market, our brains are wired to seek out shiny things.
But every so often there's a timeless story that cuts through the noise of the front page.
This week's piece is one of them. It's a simple five-minute read with a message that borders on fortune cookie wisdom. But the intimacy of the story and the poignancy of the message inspired me to send it out.
Perhaps it'll be just the antidote you need to remember life is bigger than whoever is in the White House.

Simo
P.S. Mixing it up a little this week with some punk. This song is so cathartic to listen to.
P.P.S. Have a friend that would dig the ABC? Send 'em here.
