Serving the Lord, with you!
Fresh apples from our tree!
Mike was trimming a walnut tree with our Hungarian neighbor.
Who is in control?

Recently I have found myself drifting towards relying on my own strength rather than trusting in the Lord's power and provision in my life.  I've experienced a lot of success this school year, but my role as the high school principal has taught me that my own strength is not sufficient.  I'm humbled by the hard work of the staff around me and their willingness to serve the students of ICSB so faithfully.  I have learned that even with a great staff there are things that are only possible with God's help.  The job of an administrator involves planning ahead and at times I find myself worrying or stressing about the future even though I know that God has a plan already in place.
I am encouraged by John 15:5-8:

I am the vine; you are the branches.  If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.  If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.  If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.  This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
Thank you for supporting our ministry.  Please consider a gift today to support our ministry.  In order for our family to continue to serve at ICSB and in the Hungarian community we need people like you to support us financially.

Urgent Need Update:

In our last newsletter we shared a need for a 5th grade teacher for this school year. I am happy to report that God has provided for ICSB in an amazing way and there is a teacher that is scheduled to be coming soon to fulfill this role!
Our ABWE team got together for a campfire.  It was an encouraging time for our family.  The kids were sticky by the end, but I think that's part of the fun!
Do you want to visit us here in Hungary?  November and December are amazing in Budapest (Christmas Markets) and it would be uplifting to our family to have some visitors!

Enjoying some warm Fall weather.
This is at St. Stephen's Basilica.
ICSB is celebrating it's 25 year anniversary!  The sign in the background commemorates the occasion.
Lydia is playing soccer this Fall.  It's been fun watching her run and play with the other girls.  All of our games are away games, so this was taken at the British International School of Budapest.
