Make a positive environmental impact to save Hawaii's shores

Located on Oahu’s windward coast in quant Kailua town (which means two-lagoons), lies a pretty neighborhood beach.  Sadly, over-tourism combine with offshore sea-debris is negatively impacting the coastline of its fragile shore.  Join our ongoing effort by helping remove plastics, fishing nets, and other materials using our sand-sifters provided. Then enjoy a local lunch followed by paddling in turquoise water to nearby bird island on either a kayak or stand-up-paddleboard, plus snorkeling.  With your help, we can restore this stretch of coastline while setting an example for others to follow.

Tour and Restore a Cultivated Ecosystem on the North Shore
Learn about historic cultural methods still in place today

On the North Shore of Oahu near historic Haleiwa town, lies a rare and significant cultural site nestled just inland from the shore upon the ancient Ahupuaʻa of Kawailoa.  Famous for its profusion of fresh water springs and flowing streams that give abundance to Mahiʻai farmers and Kanaka Lawaiʻa fishermen who’ve sustained generations with bountiful harvests, native fish, and aquatic plants.

Join us on a path to restoration with the help of the Mālama Loko Ea Foundation. Together, we will witness the distinct 400 year old Loko Puʻuone fishpond connected to the sea and spiritually home to Laniwahine, the Moʻowahine female water guardian of the third largest wetland on the island.  See a throw-net demonstration.  Learn about our ancestral place of importance, ancient deities, cultural practices and historical events.
