Dear Members,
The ALIA/ASLA Working Party’s current project is to Table 6: Recommended Minimum Information Services Centre Staffing from Learning for the future: developing information services in schools 2nd ed.
We are now moving to a data collection phase.
Assistance is required in obtaining some baseline data about school libraries in Australia. You are invited to participate in a short survey which should only take approximately 10 minutes. The survey comprises two parts. Part 1 is to be completed by someone in charge of the school library. Part 2 is seeking data on each paid member of the library team and therefore each person is invited to complete their section.
We are anticipating a perspective that encompasses:
- primary and secondary schools
- all states and territories
- the three education sectors: government, catholic and independent
The data collection period will commence on Monday 28 October and conclude on Friday 8 November. All details will be kept confidential.
