Family of the month

The story of the Bates family is a testimony to persistence.  Five-year-old Logan Bates is at the center of this story along with his father Nick, mother Letisha, and older brother Eric.  The Bates Family is Autism ETC’s November family of the month.

Family Grants Available in November

As a service to our families, Autism ETC would like to identify grants that may be available to families and individuals affected by ASD.  Grants are limited sources of money offered by companies and foundations to help with medical, transportation, and other expenses.  We encourage you to apply for any grant for which you may qualify.
  • The Orange Effect Foundation – This foundation offers grants for individuals with speech disorders for Speech Therapy and technology – Grant application due November 15th.
  • Danny's Wish iPads for Autism – Through this program, families with a child on the autism spectrum may apply for an iPad.
  • ASDF iPads & Gift Cards – This organization offers iPads and gift cards to families with children with autism.  Click on the program tab to investigate the various options – Grant application due November 17th.

 

Grants Available Anytime:

  • United Healthcare Children's Foundation - Covers medical services or equipment up to $5000.00 per year/$10,000 lifetime (a family does not have to have United Healthcare insurance to apply) 
  • C.A.R.E Foundation (California Autism Resource & Evaluation Foundation - Helps families with medication, autism diagnosis/evaluation, therapy sessions (including speech, OT & ABA), or autism summer camps
  • National Autism Association - Provides communication devices to individuals with autism who are non-verbal or minimally verbal and whose communication challenges put them at risk of injury or harm
  • Autism Escapes - Air transportation for medical appointments
  • First Hand - Covers expenses for treatment, equipment, displacement lodging, vehicle modifications
  • Modest Needs - Helps families experiencing a financial crisis including medical expenses
  • NSW Kids Program - The Seal Foundation - for Navy Seal Families Only - Covers direct educational, diagnostic testing, services, and tutoring/mentoring

We are proud of the accomplishments of our staff as they daily prove their dedication and improve their abilities to provide services to our clients.  This month Tremayne Morrison at Autism ETC Clarksville passed her RBT exam this month
