Meet the Bateses: Autism ETC's Family of the month
The story of the Bates family is a testimony to persistence. Five-year-old Logan Bates is at the center of this story along with his father Nick, mother Letisha, and older brother Eric. The Bates Family is Autism ETC’s November family of the month.
As a service to our families, Autism ETC would like to identify grants that may be available to families and individuals affected by ASD. Grants are limited sources of money offered by companies and foundations to help with medical, transportation, and other expenses. We encourage you to apply for any grant for which you may qualify.
The Orange Effect Foundation – This foundation offers grants for individuals with speech disorders for Speech Therapy and technology – Grant application due November 15th.
ASDF iPads & Gift Cards – This organization offers iPads and gift cards to families with children with autism. Click on the program tab to investigate the various options – Grant application due November 17th.
United Healthcare Children's Foundation - Covers medical services or equipment up to $5000.00 per year/$10,000 lifetime (a family does not have to have United Healthcare insurance to apply)
National Autism Association - Provides communication devices to individuals with autism who are non-verbal or minimally verbal and whose communication challenges put them at risk of injury or harm
If you have questions about any of these programs, please contact the sponsoring foundation or organization directly.
We are proud of the accomplishments of our staff as they daily prove their dedication and improve their abilities to provide services to our clients. This month Tremayne Morrison at Autism ETC Clarksville passed her RBT exam this month
