Upcoming Career / Recruiting Events:

•  Four employers are recruiting on-campus in the Bolick Student Center this week between 10:30-12:30 (unless otherwise indicated). Tuesday, 10/29: Alamo Drafthouse, Chesterfield Co. Police Dept. (recruiting from all majors; see below) and CHO / Piedmont Airlines. Thursday, 10/31:  Nurse Advantage (Keats Science Building).  
• This Thursday!  Veterans & Community Job Fair (open to all; not just for Veterans) - Thursday, 10/31, 10am-2pm, Carver Recreation Center.  50+ local employers will be represented from all industries. Pre-registration is not required but comes with perks!
• Augusta Health is hosting a Nursing Career Fair today, Monday, 10/28, 3:30-6:30. They request that you register in advance to confirm your interview time.
• Virtual College & Graduate School Fair for Veterans - Tuesday, 10/29, 11am-3pm.  63 nationwide schools will be sharing information about their certificate, associate's, bachelor's and graduate programs!

• Chesterfield Co. Police Dept. seeks Police Officers (from all majors; not just PVCC's police science department). Salary starts at $47,000 (plus $1500 sign on bonus). Be sure to talk with them on Tuesday in the Bolick Student Center. They will return on 11/12 to administer the pre-assessment. 
• CHO / Piedmont Airlines seeks both Customer Service Agents and Ramp Agents paying $12.25/hour.  Be sure to talk with them on Tuesday in the Bolick Student Center.
• Alamo Drafthouse is hiring for all positions including Bartenders, Servers, Projectionists and Kitchen Staff. Be sure to talk with them on Tuesday in the Bolick Student Center.
• Nurse Advantage seeks CNAs, LPNs and RNs for the Charlottesville area (not just Richmond). Be sure to talk with them in the Keats Science Building on Thursday.
• Plow & Hearth has several seasonal job openings listed on their website. An example position they're hiring for is the Contact Center Agent position. Pay starts at $12/hr and includes retention bonuses.
• Wesley United Methodist Church is looking to hire a part-time (Sundays) Nursery Attendant. Pay is $15/hr. Send resume to office@wesleymumc.org 
• The Village at Gordon House (in Gordonsville) seeks a full-time CNA to help perform direct patient care activities (3-11pm).
• Farmington Country Club has several positions open including Banquet Server ($13/hour), Youth Activities Assistant, Barre Instructor, Group Exercise Instructor, and Restaurant Staff - Hosts, Servers, Runners. Click on the job title(s) you are interested in.
• Sherwin-Williams is hiring part-time Sales Associates. Flexible  hours that make this job beneficial for students.
• Our Neighborhood Child Development Center is looking for a Mindful Early Youth Educator to help foster curiosity in young children. This can be either a part-time or full-time position paying between $11 and $17/hr.
• The City of Charlottesville is hiring part-time Customer Service Attendants for their after school program. Pay is $15-$19.50/hr.

• iSoftStone is looking for people to read English for 3 hours with any accent (except Indian) in exchange for $70 cash. 
• BB&T Bank is hiring part-time Bank Tellers with pay starting at $15/hr with 20% premium pay!
• Christian Aid seeks a Donor Services Assistant. Work is part-time for 16 hours per week. 
• Networking Technologies and Support are hiring full-time Mobile Phone Technicians to install Vocera software on the mobile devices of medical personnel at UVA Health. Project will last up to 4 months and pay is $16-$17/hr.
• The UVA Health System is hiring a full-time Administrative Specialist. Pay is between $15.37 - $23.82 Hourly.
• The City of Charlottesville is hiring a Customer Service Representative in the Utility Billing Office. Position is full-time with city benefits and pay is between $15.09 - $22.65 Hourly. Last date to apply is November 1. 
• The Arc of Piedmont is looking for volunteer Accounting as well as Marketing/Development Interns. Use the PVCC internship website to find more information about what could be an excellent resume builder.
• James White Realty seeks a Marketing and Event Planning Intern. This is a paid internship with a 10 hour a week commitment. Intern will be paid $15/hr. Interns will be planning events from the ground up.

• CFA Institute (via Qualified Staffing) has seasonal work (Dec. 9-20 when most of you are not in classes) for people interested in work as a Warehouse Worker for their grading project. Pay is $13.50/hr.
• Immigration Centers of America is looking to hire full-time Detention Officers. Pay is $18.21/hr. Applicants must be able to pass a federal background check. 
• The City of Charlottesville is hiring a Utility Construction Inspector. This is a full-time job paying between $34,342.77 - $56,660.15.
