Life Group Dinner Meeting

Life Groups are essential for helping us grow spiritually.  Have you ever wondered what it might be like to facilitate or lead a life group?  If yes, please join us for a dinner meeting on Monday, November 4th from 5:30-8pm in the Fireside Room.  We will celebrate our current groups, answer questions, look at a sample study, and glimpse at what’s coming up in the future.  Please RSVP to Mary at mary@gspc.org, 562.493.2553 x114.

Join Pastor Curtis in the Fireside Room on Sunday, November 10th between services to engage the future of our church campus.

Dinner! Singing! Fun! Games! Friends! Snacks! More Fun!! Join your friends for a great season of learning more about The Heart of God. Grades 1-5, structured lesson, toddler/kinder childcare. Program runs September-May.  

Adults

CPR Classes

Classes will be offered on November 4th, 5th and 18th at 6:30pm. Each class is limited to 12 students and is about three hours long. Cost is $15 for supplies. All children ministry workers are urged to attend one of the classes. A card will be provided by the American Heart Association. Fall Special Needs Dance

Our next community dance for those with special needs is Friday, November 8th, 7-9:30pm in Zirbel Hall. Enjoy music and refreshments. Contact Pam Harrington at 562/430.8343 with questions.

Literary Women

Meets on Saturday, November 9th at 9:30am in the Fireside Room. Join the discussion of Educated: A Memoir by Westover. Save December 14th for Christmas fellowship.           

Christmas Luncheon

"Whispers of Christmas" will be the theme for the annual Women's Christmas Luncheon on Saturday, December 7th. Please sign up at the Women's Ministry table on the patio to be a table hostess. Ticket sales begin November 3rd.           

Senior Adults

Thanksgiving Dinner

The Annual Senior Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Sunday, November 24th at 5pm. Make your reservations at the Senior Ministry table on the patio.               

Serve in Love

Women's Ministry Silent Auction  

Our silent auction, a major fundraiser for Women's Ministries, will be accepting new or gently used items or gift cards to be included in the gift baskets. Items can be dropped off in the church office or we can arrange to pick them up. Please make your donations by November 10th. Quilters  

Meets on Monday, November 4th at 7pm in the Round Room #4. All are welcome!   

Operation Christmas Child  

Shoeboxes are still available! Stop by the table and pick up a box to fill for a needy child. Please include a $9 donation with each box to cover shipping and handling. The last Sunday to return shoeboxes is November 24th.   

Letters to Persecuted Christians  

Make a difference with an opportunity for our church family to write letters and cards of encouragement and love to our Christian brothers and sisters who are suffering for their faith in Jesus. A letter makes a difference, knowing they are not alone and helping them to endure and keep their faith strong. A folder of names and writing information is available at the Senior Ministry table on the patio. Contact Ken Purucker at 562/594.6026 with questions.     

Thanksgiving Dinner Volunteers  

We are looking for a few great cooks for our annual Thanksgiving Dinner, from turkeys to pies, rolls to stuffing, servers and hostesses. Please stop by the table on the patio to see what is needed.
