There are a number of meetings coming up in the next few weeks:

  • Tonight, Tuesday Ask the Mayor event with Mayor John Biggs at George Greens secondary school (see link below)
  • Local Infrastructure Fund consultation by the Council (where do you want money spent on local projects?), see below:
    • Workshop Poplar Wednesday 30th October - 2 workshops
    • Workshop Isle of Dogs Wednesday 6th November - 2 workshops
    • Drop-in session Canary Wharf Wednesday 6th November 8 am - 1 pm
    • Drop-in session ASDA Friday 8th November 10 am - 4 pm
  • A Forum meeting together with the St Johns Residents Association about the ASDA development on Monday 18th November 7-9 pm at St Johns Community Centre, Glengall Grove (more later)
  • Our Annual General Meeting is Wednesday 4th December 7-9 pm at Alpha Grove Church Hall. Alpha Grove (more later)
  • New North Quay planning exhibition by Canary Wharf group next week (details below)
  • Cycling meeting dates and times to follow

Planning Updates
  • Isle of Dogs and South Poplar Opportunity Area Planning Framework published 21st October by the Mayor of London here. It is an important plan for the Isle of Dogs and South Poplar and will be discussed in more detail at the ASDA event on the 18th November and our AGM 4th December.
  • Neighbourhood Plan update, final set of documents submitted to the Council here in advance of a Regulation 16 consultation.

This session will take place in the theatre at George Green's School on the Isle of Dogs, Manchester Road, E14 3DW
Doors will open at approximately 6.30 pm, event starts at 7pm tonight Tuesday 29th October

Community Infrastructure Levy consultation (Local Infrastructure Fund) events
This is about where, how and on what 25% of Community Infrastructure Levy money is spent locally. So if you have any ideas on how to spend money locally on improvements please try and attend one of the meetings.

North Quay public exhibition next week with new proposals
This is the empty site between the Marriott hotel/West India Quay DLR & Billingsgate fish market on north side of Canary Wharf next to the Crossrail station.
