Hello Everyone,

Beginning Wednesday night, the Kincade Fire has swept across northern Sonoma County, prompting the evacuation of many residents. Here in Sonoma County we are feeling the effects of these devastating fires, from evacuations and loss of power to worry about our homes and communities. We hope you are able to keep friends and family close during this difficult time. Many Schools for Climate Action volunteers have also been affected. Therefore, there will not be a newsletter this month. We plan to substantially cover the environmental roots and effects of these fires in next month’s newsletter.

For those seeking news on the fires, Cal Fire’s website provides a good source of information, as well as the webpage devoted specifically to the Kincade Fire.

Warmly,
Drew Storino
