Last Saturday was our October Montclair Railroad Trail workday and what a busy day it was!
About 15 volunteers spent a couple of hours clearing and sweeping the area behind McCaulou's parking lot as well as tackling some large fallen eucalyptus trunks and branches. In addition to a much cleaner trail (who knew it was so wide?) ingenuity, persistence, and team strength served to repurpose a large tree trunk into a decorative trail border.
A big thanks goes out to the mom-son teams from Boys Team Charity, the Oaks League, who joined a handful of regulars and board members for an extremely productive day. (For more information on the Boys Team Charity Organization visit their website: boysteamcharity.org)
