YOUR ATTENDANCE REQUESTED

WE NEED YOU!
AT THE ENCINO NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL
MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23 AT 6:30PM

The Encino Neighborhood Council is set to vote this Wednesday, October 23, to determine support for proposals by an Encino resident for changes to departure procedures at both VNY and BUR Airports. His proposals contradict the position of the City Attorney in his recent letters (see below) and threaten relief to our communities. He is trying to pass his plans through Encino Neighborhood Council so that he can speak at the Task Force -- he must not be given a platform! Don’t let him derail what we’ve all worked so hard to accomplish. Please show up to the Encino Neighborhood Council Meeting -- We are stronger together!

Encino Neighborhood Council - Board Meeting
Wednesday, October 23, 6:30 pm
Women's Club Room
4924 Paso Robles Avenue
Encino, CA 91316

*Please arrive by 6:15 to fill out a speaker card.

See presentation: https://www.encinonc.org/docs/34483264-5452.pdf which includes faulty data, misinterpreted FAA standards, and uses FAA’s propagandized materials, presented as fact. All of his proposals are bad for our communities. There are multiple waypoints in Studio City and Sherman Oaks and three highly concentrated flight paths that travel south of the 101 through the heart of our communities, as well as a "conventional" flight path that "heads for the hills" -- exactly as jets do now!

STRENGTH IN NUMBERS!
YOUR ADVOCACY MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

CITY ATTORNEY MIKE FEUER ANSWERED OUR
COMMUNITY'S CALL FOR ACTION

The City Attorney answered the public's call with a powerful letter to the FAA on Friday, October 18, 2019 demanding that the FAA take "immediate action" within 30 days to "correct the erroneous southern shift of the Runway 15 departure tracks." He states that immediate action is feasible based on the fact that "the southerly shift was implemented informally" and therefore can be eliminated just as easily with a simple "Tower Order."  He further highlights that the FAA admitted what the "public has long known: that aircraft departing Burbank Airport are not adhering to the pre-Metroplex flight tracks" and must return to historic routes. Read the Cease and Desist Letter here and Scoping Letter here

This is progress! Please take a moment to thank City Attorney Feuer for his quick and decisive action. Email: rob.wilcox@lacity.org. Or tweet at: twitter.com/mike_feuertwitter.com/CityAttorneyLA
