We would like to extend a BIG thank you to all our volunteers. Following our call out last week we were thrilled to have you all join us on Sunday for what turned out to be a fabulous day on the water for Pre-Christmas Pennant #1. Please let us know if you available to help us again, or on a regular basis - we will continue to require your help to ensure we can run safely and efficiently each week.
This weekend we are hosting the Sabre Association of Tasmania for a Training Camp.
Training Camp Details
The camp will run on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th and will be run by Ryan Kelly (from South Australia) & Lauren Keil (who formerly sailed with Midway Point Yacht Club).
Training will begin at 9am Saturday with a focus on rigging up, the latest centre board and rigging rakes and controls. In the afternoon training will focus on various drills including roll tacking (specific training will be provided for those with individual requests) - 4pm finish followed by a BBQ.*
Sunday morning will kick off at 9am with a review of the previous days skills. Sailors will then be coached as they join in with the scheduled racing at LSC.
*Please BYO lunch on Saturday. The club canteen will be open on Sunday.
Racing this Sunday will consist of a Short Course Series.
